M. tensor fasciae latae

Originates on the ventro-lateral aspect of the ala ossis ilei and the ventral surface of the iliacus externus. Inserts on the lateral surface of the cruralis, the dorso-lateral surface of the gluteus magnus, and on the aponeurosis of the cruralis.
